How to Purchase
Our puzzles are custom made and are created on a commission basis. Your jigsaw puzzle will be cut to your specifications using your photograph or art print. It will be cut by Keith specifically for you. You determine the size and approximate number of pieces. Only the highest quality materials will be used. This will be an heirloom-quality item that will be something special for you and your family to enjoy for generations.
- Select your image. We can use just about any photo or art print as a puzzle image. The quality of the image AND paper is very important though.
- Digital image. This is the preferred method. You can send us a high resolution image via email. We will then print on high quality paper with high quality inks. This also allows us to select the exact size and shape for your puzzle.
- Photo or art print to be used as-is. You can mail us an actual photo, print or poster to use. Your image will be mounted to the puzzle board as-is, so it is important that you send a high quality image on high quality paper.
- Photo paper is generally an excellent source.
- For art prints, you want high quality poster-type (dense) paper, not rag/fiber paper.
- Postcards and wall calendar images are not usable as the thick paper is prone to separation.
- Photo or art print to be scanned. We can accept paper photos and prints to be scanned for printing in a different size, shape, etc.
- Determine the size. Since your puzzle will be custom-made, the number of pieces will not be an exact amount. Pieces are generally calculated at about 2.1 pieces per square inch of the puzzle area. This size is standard for wooden puzzles and is the size most requested (and most collectible).
- Create your special pieces. We can cut special pieces (called “figurals”) into your puzzle. Figurals include things such as figures, names, dates, etc. See examples on our Gallery page.
- Calculate the price. We try to keep our pricing simple to understand and calculate so you have no surprises.
- Base price is determined by the size and number of pieces in your puzzle. See Price Estimator below.
- We include 2 figurals per 100 piece puzzle (or 1 for puzzles under 100 pieces) at no charge. Additional figurals are available for $5.00 per piece.
- Image Handing Cost (if applicable). Such as special printing, scanning or Photoshop editing.
- Shipping and handling will be billed at actual cost.
